Featured Road

Challenge: White Pine County needed a way to stabilize a 1.5-mile unpaved road that served both heavy industrial trucking operations and local residential traffic. The road serves as a primary haul route for continuous semi-truck traffic alongside local residential vehicles, leading to rapid degradation, severe dust, and high maintenance costs under standard grading practices.

Results: The county treated the existing clay and limestone subgrade mix using Perma-Zyme. Utilizing standard compaction equipment and a reclaimer, the native material became a highly dense, semi-permanent base. Within 28 days of application, the road achieved concrete-like compaction, providing dust mitigation and reducing maintenance requirements.
