Substrata is a biochemical manufacturer. We make eco-friendly enzyme products to help you tackle your toughest challenges in soil stabilization, cleaning, dust control, farming, and petroleum remediation.

Our Story

John Battistoni invented Perma-Zyme soil stabilizer for his family’s vineyards in 1972. Seeing its potential, he founded International Enzymes and expanded his product line. The company became Substrata in 2018, and we still use John’s original formulas today. We’re proud to carry on his legacy: making eco-friendly enzyme solutions for everyone!
